My two jobs and the plusses and minuses of both...

Job number one...  I'm a server in a restaurant..  Not just any restaurant..  I'm a server at Bob Evans.  I'm not terribly scared to post where I work on here because there's only a handful of people that read this.  And even if someone randomly does happen upon my meaningless blog and read it, won't ever comment.  So back to the subject at hand.  I like talking to and serving strangers.  I also like serving my friends that have no clue what a really fuckin awesome server I am.  I won't at all say I'm perfect or that I'm the best employee but I will say I am a pretty good server.  I'm fast and I make people happy.  Of course it makes me a harsh critic when I go to other restaurants.  Like last year after the haunted catacombs we went to denny's and it literally took the server 10 minutes to get out drink order and bring it back.  In a full restaurant I could see maybe five minutes but there was only one other table in the joint.  My comment..?  "this place is a dump."  haha  But yes I get to handout with and talk to people all day long.  Some totally interesting and some, not so much.  But for how much I don't like people, I enjoy my job of interacting with people.  My second job is I'm a Barista at SPoT coffee.  Again, I don't really like people.  But there's something about both jobs that I like..  Maybe it's just my ego wanting to showoff my skills..  Being in that spotlight, my faith is renewed when people are genuine or do/say something I don't expect.  The minus of it is that it's so unpredictable which can still be a plus.  I mean it could be slow so the manager will cut the floor so there's maybe 4 servers but then the restaurant will get slammed.  The plus of that is that we can make some money fast and nasty.  The minus is that it tires you out really fast and sometimes it can get overwhelming for even the best servers.  And, when that happens...  When the shit hits the fan.  There's only one person to blame.  The manager.  It comes with the territory.   It should probably be in the job description.  haha.  Well long story short my strokes two things for me.  My ego and my love of money..  BOOM!  g'nite..

Getting used to social apps and is it too much updating??

So since having this new toy I've done what people normally do with new android things.  I download a bunch of things, use them once then delete em.   But in this case I'm trying to use them more.  Instagram is ok but I can't help but post to twitpic (I'm a twitter boy).  Tumblr is fun when I wanna repost other's pictures, and lately tay's blogs, but still don't use it as much as twitter.  Which btw..  I hate that the real deal tumblr app works on my nook but on my higher grade tablet i have to use shortblogger.  When it comes to video apps I was mostly netflix until I started watching "strangers with candy" which is on hulu+.  What it's all boiling down to is the stuff I will 100 percent use everyday is twitter, netflix, hulu+, and my browser of choice is google chrome.  As for updating all of it twitter is done from my phone and everything else happens at home at night before bed.  Though I'm not huge on taking pictures of myself so instagram doesn't really play into all of it but we'll see...

Lately some random things have been happening.

Still even at this point I won't expand on what's going on with my living situation though.  But with a second job brings a whole new set of friends.  One girl who always thinks i'm blowing her shit, I am, is fun to hang out with til she starts to get down about it.  she doesn't have a thick enough skin..  Her and I both have the same birthday.  So they are getting ready for some workplace bonding.  I'm game..  And.. We're all just getting to the exchanging of the phone numbers.  It's fun.  I think the bonding may be a guitar hero night at somebody's apartment.  I just don't feel like capitalizing most of my sentences tonight.  get over it!  g'nite

Things are changing all around...

New roommates, new stuff happening at work and I don't know maybe things are changing for me as well.  I'm gonna skip the roommate stuff.  All I can say about all of that is that I'm somewhat relieved.   Now, I don't have to live in awkwardness anymore.  For work.. When I first got hired my manager said he could hire me for either cashier or shift manager.  He said either way he like me in my interview.  What happened once I was hired was I became a barista.  I didn't at all get trained on a cash register for almost a month and a half after the fact.  Recent developments, I was put on the schedule to work the kitchen by myself saturday night.  I relayed that I had never been trained in the kitchen.  He said it'd be a good night for me to learn, and that I should learn regardless that it'd be good for me.  He said he might be making me a shift manager.  The only minus was that I hear shift managers don't get barista shifts.   I love being a barista..  It's so much fun.  idk...  and now that my tablet/laptop is complete I will be blogging more.   Promise.

My biggest decision today...

So my biggest decision today..  Do I post to my blogger and Tumblr or do I do separate things on both accounts?  I like tumblr for the pics and I've posted blogs on this..  Do I now post my blogs on tumblr too?  IDK..

From time to time I gotta vent and this is the best way I know how to do that..

So there's this thing..  Liking people for who they are and not who I want them to be.  Like the tweet I posted a few days ago it's much easier said than done.  I'm not sure how many people actually read this but if you do.  Thanx.  If you know me personally then you already know what I'm going to talk about next.  I pray.  I'm not heavily religious per se but I do pray.  It's more of a spiritual type deal.  Long story.  Well in the past few years I've learned a lot.  Oh!  By the way.  If the topic of prayer doesn't interest you then you don't really need to read any further.  Continuing....  So there's something I had to pray about.  I asked for some clarification on a situation that's going on with me.  Turns out I got a whole lot of answers I didn't want.  And in the long run I figured they were answers I needed.  I can't be too specific about the situation but IT IS what's going on with me.

One thing that's kept me sane and I attempted to be of use with is to know that the things I've done aren't who I am they're just the things I've done.  Applying that to other people and what they are currently doing whether I agree with them are not is none of my business.

To end this whole rant.  I wanna be a better person and under normal circumstances I would just cutoff my baggage and just forget about it.  I've done it before and that's just not handling.  What I'm going to do is continue to pray and know that it's going to be ok..  If you pray..  gimme a little shout out.  gnite

Butterfinger cake.. It's really simple

get a box of yellow cake mix (any kind you want), a small tub of cool whip or cheap knock off works too, chocolate ice cream topping sauce or chocolate fudge topping, caramel topping sauce, and a butterfinger. make the cake according to the directions. Allow it to cool. Take a wooden spoon or something close to it and using the end of it poke holes in the cake. i usually make a grid of holes about 3/4 of an inch apart. Take the chocolate sauce and heat it up just enough to make it pourable then pour it into the holes. Temperature wise you should be able to still handle it with your bare hands. Repeat the process with the caramel sauce. Put it into the fridge so the sauce firms up a bit.. maybe an hour or so. (I've left it for half an hour when I was in a rush and it still worked). Use the cool whip as the frosting. i used a plain plastic bowl and put the butterfinger in there. I like to use a full butterfinger and a half. and I use a thick glass and just mash it up.. sprinkle it on the cake. super simple... If you make it, let me know. =)

P.S. It's kinda late tonight so I didn't feel like messing around with capital letters, or correct punctuation. Try it though, you'll love it!
